There’s a scene where the characters discuss their favorite Christmas movies
Story
Helen begins a passionate relationship with a man who doesn’t know her secret identity. Caught in the crosshairs when her boyfriend falls victim to London’s dangerous underworld, Helen’s employer calls Sam to protect her. None of them mention love, which is, of course, a very popular Christmas movie.
Not sure what to make of this
That’s probably because Keira Knightley stars in both.. Graham Norton and stars: Cher/Keira Knightley/Michael Fassbender/Josh Brolin/Jalen Ngonda (2024). I binged all six episodes in one day and really enjoyed most of them.
But something felt off
Anything with Keira and Ben Whishaw will always be watchable. The writers and producers/directors seemed unsure of what the tone should be. Is it a pure action political thriller?
Or is it a John Wick action thriller?
In the end, it ended up being exactly in the middle of the two. I think it could have been a lot more watchable if it had moved away from the ridiculous John Wick stuff and tried to anchor it a little more in the real world, with potential consequences for its actions. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
