Spinning this way doesn’t push or pull air
Story
Men and women live in a giant silo underground, with various regulations that they believe are in place to protect them from the toxic and ruined world above. Whether they’re exploring the stars, escaping dystopias, or making the world a better place, these women are the stuff of science fiction. The first season covers the first 30 chapters of the book “Wool” – the book has 82 chapters. The fans on the floor in several episodes spin in the wrong direction, as far as the blades are oriented.
I just started watching this show
Featured on WatchMojo: Top 10 TV Shows of 2023 You Need to Binge (2023). One thing stood out from the beginning. The sound of the actors’ voices is very clear. Kudos to the sound people, this is a minor miracle.
It’s rare to hear actors’ voices with such delightful clarity
I often have trouble hearing what actors are saying in shows and movies. Maybe it has something to do with the acoustics of a silo? But I don’t think so, I think it’s down to some really good work by the film’s sound team who record and edit the actors’ voices. It’s almost like hearing actors’ voices in a theater, it’s so good that I’m several episodes in and I’m enjoying the acting and the story.
I really enjoyed it
There are some good characters well portrayed and little by little something is being revealed regarding the history and operational details of the silo. I’m not sure where it’s all going yet, but it’s certainly keeping me engaged. I’ve now finished the first series. There’s a significant element at the end that’s identical to a revelation that happens in a movie.
To avoid spoilers I won’t say the name of the movie, but I’m sure other people know what I mean if they’ve seen it
That didn’t diminish my enjoyment of Silo, and anyway I’m not sure who came up with the idea first, as I don’t know when the book Silo is based on was written.
