Story
It follows Elphaba, the future Wicked Witch of the West, and her relationship with Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. The second in a two-part film adaptation of the Broadway musical, Wicked first announced that it would be split into two films in April 2022, with composer Stephen Schwartz explaining, “The truth is, we tried for a while to make a movie (which) required us to cut or omit things that we wanted to include and that we think fans of the show and the story will appreciate.” He added, “We found it very difficult to get through ‘Defying Gravity’ without a break.
